In the R&B Category, the #1 Video of the Week is “Take a Chance” by Groove Stu for a third time! Out of Baltimore, Maryland Groove Stu combines Hip-hop, R&B and old style soul; recognizing a lack of substance in today’s music, Groove Stu felt compelled to write lyrics of self-reflection and love meant to inspire and motivate. In 2003, Groove Stu released its first album, Authentic 4.10 Sessions, independently to critical acclaim.

Not content to play it safe, the group chose to showcase its versatility by making an album that crossed several genres including hip hop, soul, jazz, and reggae. Performing live, Groove Stu has shared stages with such acts as Frankie Beverly and Maze, Boyz II Men, Erykah Badu, Mint Condition, Jeffrey Osborne, Raheem DeVaughn and Kindred the Family Soul to name a few.

In the Hip Hop Category, Polo-Hesus is the #1 Video of the Week; Polo-Hesus video was directed Miguel Henry.

Kristinia-DeBarge-Cry-WolfIn the Pop Rock Category, the #1 Video of the Week is Cry Wolf, by Kristinia DeBarge. In 2003, she appeared on the television show American Juniors where she made it to the top 20. By age 14 Kristinia began working with Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and in Feb of 2009 she signed a major recording contract with Soda pop/ Island Def Jam records.

Currently, Kristinia has released her first single off of her independently produced sophomore album entitled “Cry Wolf”. The music video was featured on Vevo and received over 94,000 views in less than 24 hours. The song as well as the video are both available for purchase on itunes.
